Errand privacy policy

Errand researches a task, drafts what is needed and fills the form in, then stops at the confirm button. This policy explains what is kept and what the app is not permitted to do.
Your task is sent to Anthropic to be planned
This is the part you are least likely to assume, so it is here rather than at the bottom. When you give Errand a task, what you wrote is sent to a large language model run by Anthropic, which works out the steps and drafts the text. Whatever you put in the task description goes with it, so treat that field as something that leaves our servers.
It stops before anything irreversible
Errand is assistive, not autonomous, and that is enforced rather than promised. It will prepare a message, a form or a request and put it in front of you, and you press the button. It does not send, submit, pay or agree on your behalf.
It also cannot reach arbitrary people. Recipients have to be on a list you control, which is why allowed recipients is a table in the database rather than a setting in the interface.
What is stored
- Your email address, and a subscription status field that is unused in this version.
- Each errand: what you asked for, the plan produced, the drafts prepared, and how far it got.
- The recipients you have allowed, so the app knows who it may prepare something for.
What is not stored
No password, because there is not one. Signing in is by a code sent to your email address. No card details, no bank connection, and no credentials for any other service. Errand does not hold logins for the places it drafts things for.
Who can see it
You, and nobody else using the app. Every table checks the signed in account against the owner of the row before returning anything. We do not sell any of it and we do not send it to advertisers.
Who else is involved
- Anthropic receives your task text, as above.
- Supabase hosts the database and sends the sign in codes.
- This app has no in-app purchase in this version, so nothing about a payment or a subscription reaches Apple or anyone else.
Deleting it
Deleting your account removes your profile, every errand and your recipient list, immediately and unrecoverably.
