Permit Path tracks a building permit across the departments that have to touch it, and builds a timeline from what actually happened. This policy explains what is kept.
It never files anything and never contacts a department
Permit Path is a record of your own application, kept by you. It does not submit forms, does not email a plans examiner and has no connection to any municipal system. Nothing you enter is sent to a jurisdiction, and no jurisdiction can see your account.
What is stored
- Your email address.
- Each application: the property it concerns, the permit type, the jurisdiction, and the reference number if you have one.
- Each step: which department, what was required, what you submitted and what came back, with dates.
A note on the property address
A permit is about a place. If you enter the address of a job, you are storing a location, and where it is somebody else's property you are storing a fact about them. We do not look it up, do not enrich it against any other source, and do not sell or share it.
What is not stored
No password, because there is not one. Signing in is by a code sent to your email address. No licence number, no contractor bond details, no drawings unless you choose to note them, and no payment details.
Who else is involved
Supabase hosts the database and sends the sign in codes. Nothing is sent to a language model or to any other company. This app has no in-app purchase, so there is no payment or subscription information about you for anyone to hold.
Deleting it
Deleting your account removes your profile and every application and step, immediately and unrecoverably. A permit timeline can matter long after the work is done, so export one you may need before you delete it.
