Scope takes a quote to a signed statement of work to a change order, for someone working on their own. This policy explains what is kept.
Your scope text is sent to Anthropic to be drafted
This is the part you are least likely to assume, so it is here rather than at the bottom. When you ask Scope to draft a statement of work or a change order, what you wrote about the job is sent to a large language model run by Anthropic, and the draft comes back. If your description names the client or describes their business, that goes with it.
Nothing is sent unless you ask for a draft.
You are storing your clients' details
A project holds a client's name and email address, and they did not install this app or read this page. We treat that as your business record: we never contact your clients, never market to them, never build any profile of them, and never sell or share their details.
The one time we do reach a client is when you send them a document to accept, because you asked us to.
What an acceptance record contains
When a client accepts a statement of work or a change order, Scope records that acceptance so there is evidence the work was agreed. That record is kept with the project and is the thing you would rely on in a dispute. It is yours, we do not share it with anybody, and we take no position in any disagreement between you and a client.
What is stored
- Your email address, your business name, default rate and currency, and whether your subscription is active.
- Each project: client name and email, title, the scope itself, amounts and deposit, when it was sent and when accepted.
- Each change order: what was requested, the line items, the change in price and days, and its acceptance.
What is not stored
No password, because there is not one. Signing in is by a code sent to your email address. No bank connection and no card numbers. Scope records what a deposit was agreed to be; it does not move the money and has nowhere to put a card.
Who else is involved
- Anthropic receives your scope text when you ask for a draft.
- Supabase hosts the database and sends the sign in codes.
- RevenueCat sits between the app and the app store and tracks whether your subscription is active. It receives the purchase events and an identifier for your account.
- Apple handles the payment itself. Card details go to Apple and never to us.
Deleting it
Deleting your account removes your profile, every project and every change order, immediately and unrecoverably. Acceptance records are often the only evidence of what was agreed, so export anything you may need before you delete.
