Threshold walks you through every parental control across a phone, a console, a tablet and the apps on them, for one child's age, in one sitting. This policy explains what is kept.
It does not monitor your child, and it cannot
This is the most important thing on the page. Threshold tells you which settings to change and where they are. It has no connection to your child's device, no connection to any account of theirs, and no access to anything they do.
It does not see their messages, their browsing, their screen time, their location or their friends. It cannot, because it is never connected to any of it. What you get is a guide and a record of what you have set up.
What we hold about the child
As little as the app can work with: a name to tell one child's setup from another's if you have more than one, and an age, because the age is what determines which settings are recommended.
No date of birth, no photograph, no school, no contact detail, no device identifier and no account name for any platform. The child has no account here, we never contact them, and nothing about them is sold or used for advertising in any form.
What is stored
- Your email address, and whether you have paid for this child.
- Each child: the name and age you entered.
- Which platforms you said they use, and your progress through each guide.
- Alerts for when a platform changes its settings, so a guide you completed can be revisited.
What is not stored
No password, because there is not one. Signing in is by a code sent to your email address. No credentials for any platform. Threshold never asks for your child's logins or your own, because it changes nothing on your behalf; you make each change yourself, on the device.
Who else is involved
Supabase hosts the database and sends the sign in codes. Apple handles the purchase and tells us only that one was made. Nothing is sent to a language model or to any platform named in a guide.
Deleting it
Deleting your account removes your profile, every child and all progress, immediately and unrecoverably. The settings you changed on real devices stay changed; they were never ours to undo.
