Fluent Hour privacy policy

Last updated 11 September 2026.

Fluent Hour gives you one spoken scenario a day, about ten minutes, with no lessons and no streaks. This policy explains what is kept, where it sits, and who can reach it.

Your side of the conversation is sent to Anthropic

This is the part you are least likely to assume, so it is here rather than at the bottom. The other side of the conversation is a large language model run by Anthropic. What you say is transcribed to text and that text is sent so a reply can come back. There is no way to have the conversation without this, because it is the conversation.

What is stored

  • Your email address, the language you are learning, and whether your subscription is active.
  • Each session: the scenario, when it happened and how long it ran.
  • Each turn in it, as text: what you said and what came back.

Audio is not kept

Speech is turned into text so the conversation can happen, and the recording is not retained afterwards. What remains is the transcript. There is no voiceprint, no speaker model and no audio file of you on our servers, and nothing about your voice is used to train anything.

What is not stored

No password, because there is not one. Signing in is by a code sent to your email address. No name, no age, no location and no payment details.

Who can see it

You, and nobody else using the app. Every table checks the signed in account against the owner of the row before returning anything. There is no teacher view, no class and no leaderboard. We do not sell any of it and we do not send it to advertisers.

Who else is involved

  • Anthropic receives your transcribed turns, as above.
  • Supabase hosts the database and sends the sign in codes.
  • RevenueCat sits between the app and the app store and tracks whether your subscription is active. It receives the purchase events and an identifier for your account.
  • Apple handles the payment itself. Card details go to Apple and never to us.

Deleting it

Deleting your account removes your profile and every session and turn, immediately and unrecoverably.
